Abstract

This article explores the pedagogical and psychological characteristics of games aimed at developing emotional intelligence, their significance in the educational and upbringing process, and their potential to foster children's skills in recognizing, expressing, and regulating their emotional states. The main components of emotional intelligence are analyzed, including self-awareness, emotional regulation, understanding others' feelings, empathy, and the ability to establish and maintain effective social relationships. The article also examines the methodological aspects of incorporating role-playing, situational, communicative, and creative games into educational practice. Recommendations are proposed for developing children's emotional stability, empathy, communication skills, and cooperation through the purposeful organization of play-based activities.
